What drew me to this cover?
Iconic black and white picture from yesterday years with a very bold red lipstick.
Why did I choose this book?
The life and career of Mexico last DIVA from the Golden Aged of Mexican Cinema. Not only an actress, a producer and the Matriarch of "La Dinastia Pinal".

The feeling(s) of this book evokes me:
Nostalgia. The photos are GREAT!
Favorite passage(s):
"Dios Aprieta, pero no nos suelta", which translates "God squeezes, but does not let us go", that means times will be hard but you have to move forward, there's a plan for you.
Did reading this book change me in any way?
That resilience is a gift and a skill that needs to be nurture.
Would I recommend this book?
Absolutely! That's why I am in the Libro Club. This woman is not only a national treasure but she's an icon of feminism when that word didn't exist in Mexico. She been thru all from the talkies, radio, film, voting rights, television, three divorces, you name it... while juggling a family! But always learning, nurturing her gift of producing, a visionary with grit and resilience.
Thank you for reading with me and stay tuned for the next read...
